, faces charges of corruption and swindling.   

Abdulahad Qurboniyon, a spokesman for the Khatlon prosecutor’s office, has told Asia-Plus that Sirojiddin Rizoyev and Sharifamo Salimova, who had worked as laboratory assistant with College’s Energy Department, were detained in August 2005 on suspicion of having taken bribe.  “The preliminary investigation has established that they took a bribe of US$300 from Izzatullo Safarov for his entering the college.”
