KULOB, October 4, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Ambassador Ivar Vikki, the Head of the OSCE Office in Tajikistan, attended a roundtable meeting that took place in Kulob on October 3.

According to the OSCE field office in Kulob, partners of OSCE in Kulob, representatives from a number of political parties and local journalists have been invited to the meeting.

Ambassador Vikki acquainted these present with plans of the OSCE Office in Tajikistan and the OSCE field office in Kulob and answered to numerous questions of those present, the source said.

Amrokhon Safarov, the head of the Democratic Party organization for Kulob, considers that the OSCE field office in Kulob has rather weakened work with political parties over the past two-three years and it is necessary to bring this work back to the previous level.
