DUSHANBE, August 31, 2010, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon is receiving visiting NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Southern Caucasus and Central Asia, Mr. Robert Simmons, today afternoon.

According to presidential press service, the sides are expected to discuss issues related to providing regional security and the situation in the Central Asian region and Afghanistan.

The source added that it could not be ruled out that the sides would also discuss cooperation between Tajikistan and the North Atlantic Alliance in combating terrorism, extremism, and drug trafficking.
