KHOJAND. August 10, Asia-Plus – In Sughd region there was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment the active worker extremist party Hizb-ut-tahrir.
As “AP” has informed at district court of Bobojon Gafurov the day before consideration of criminal case concerning the 31-year-old inhabitant, Yokubjon Ahmedov from Isfisor Jamoat of Bobojon Gafurov district has come to the end.
Y.Ahmedov, in 2000 on the appeal of one of heads of Sughd cells of “Hizb-ut-Tahrir”, Rasul Mirpochoev, which is wanted by the police, independently studied the book «Islom Nizomi», and in 2001 has voluntary joined the ranks of this extremist party.
Y.Ahmedov has reached a post «masuli kitobho» in hierarchy of this forbidden party and has made a number of grave crimes, promoted distribution of leaflets of extremist character and involved inhabitants in numbers of the given party, every month he made contribution from his personal means. He functioned in the organized group which structure included Mirpochoev Rustam, Mirpochoev Ilhom, Mirpochoev Madamin, Mirpochoev Muhammad, Mirpochoev Bahodur, Ortikov Ahmad, Niyozboev Mahmud, Bobodzhonov Nasim, Temirov Ismoil, Urunboev Madzhid, Latipov Abdukarim, Urunboev Mansur, Hafizov Jusuf, Holmatov Nasim, etc. Some of the given organized groups are sentenced to various years of imprisonment, others – are wanted by the police.
In 2005 Y. Ahmedov, having hidden in a ceiling of his house the literature and leaflets of extremist character, including the book Nizomi Islom, has run away Tyumen city of the Russian Federation. He was detained in April, 2009.
The court founded Y. Ahmedov guilty of fulfillment of the crimes, the provided items 187 ч. 2 ( Organization of criminal groups), 189 p. 3 (Excitation national, racial, parochial or the religious hostility, made by the organized group), 307 p. 2 (Public appeals to violent change of the constitutional system of the Republic Tajikistan, made repeatedly by organized group, with use of mass media), 307 ap. 1, p. 2, 307 ap. 2 p. 2, 307 ap. 3 ч. 2 UK RТ, also has sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property with punishment serving in a high security colony.
We would like to remind you that last week the Khujand city court has sentenced 10 inhabitants of the district to imprisonment from 9 till 15 years for membership in extremist party Hizb-ut-tahrir.
