Dushanbe. June 17. “Asia – Plus” — In his yesterday’s interview to Ozodi radio Deputy Head of the State National Security Service of Kyrgyzstan, commandant of Jalalabad, Kubat Baibolov denied information distributed earlier by some Russia media which quoted him as saying that Tajik citizens are being involved in mass disorders in south of Kyrgyzstan.
“I have no idea where Russian journalists could get this information. I never met them and never told that Tajiks are being involved in mass disorders in south of Kyrgyzstan,” he said, adding that if this was true the whole world would knew that.
Turning to Tajik Foreign Ministry’s statement he said that Tajik Foreign Ministry could talk to him first before distributing such statements.
He said that there are many followers of the overthrown president Bakiev in southern Kyrgyzstan and they shoot at both Kyrgyz citizens and their congeners.
Speaking at yesterday’s session of the lower chamber of Tajikistan’s parliament, chairman of the Tajik State National Security Committee, colonel general Hairiddin Abdurahimov said that the Tajik National Security Committee is waiting for official evidences which should prove the involvement of Tajik citizens in mass disorders in south of Kyrgyzstan.
“If no evidence is provided we insist on official apologies through the media,” he said.
Top Tajik security official also said that related request has already been sent to Uzbek and Kyrgyz security agencies.
