Dushanbe. June 14. “Asia-Plus” — Secretaries of Security Councils of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states will gather in Moscow to discuss efforts aimed at stabilization of current situation in Kyrgyzstan.
Tajikistan will be represented by secretary of the Tajikistan’s Security Council Amirkul Azimov who departed to Moscow on Sunday, June 13.
Meeting participants are planning to elaborate proposals for collective measures for stabilization of situation in Kyrgyzstan, prevention of ethnic conflicts, rehabilitation of the rule of law, order and promotion of security of citizens of Kyrgyzstan, Tajik Security Council told the AP.
Consultations will be conducted upon the request of the Chairman of SCTO Security Council, President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.
The meeting will bring together top security officials from such SCTO member states as Armenia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Meanwhile, death toll in mass disorders in Kyrgyzstan reached 113 people. In the past three days nearly 1,400 people have attended medical institutions, of which 742 have been hospitalized.
According to Kyrgyz law enforcement agencies, mass disorders started from a fight which occurred on June 10 in the Kyrgyz city of Osh located in southern part of the republic where many Uzbeks reside. The fight then turned into mass disorders and confrontation between Kyrgyz people and representatives of Uzbek Diaspora.
