DUSHANBE. May 26. “Asia-Plus” — Tomorrow, May 27, Tajikistan President’s Pugus residence in Varzob region will host a regular meeting of Supreme courts of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states.

The event will bring together representatives of Supreme courts of Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, the Department of Information of Tajik Foreign Ministry told the AP.

“The event, which is conducted in the frameworks of SCO, will prioritize further development of cooperation in jurisprudence,” the source said.

According to the source, SCO judges will discuss an opportunity for establishment of a mechanism of cooperation to fight transboundary crimes and strengthening of cooperation between justice structure in terms of counteraction to terrorism, extremism and separatism.

“Meeting participants are expected to discuss the role of courts in social development, law and order and justice. The results of the meeting will be reflected in the joint statement,” the source reported.

Meeting participants will be presented welcoming speech of the Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
