KULOB, March 18, 2010, Asia-Plus  — To-date, officers from the police department of the city of Kulob have bought shares in open joint-stock company (OJSC) NBO Roghun for a total of 142,000 somoni, the Kulob police department chief, Colonel Abdulvahhob Iskandarov, told Asia-Plus today.

“Besides, Kulob police officers have donated 8,150 somoni to support Roghun’s construction,” said Iskandarov, “Our officers will continue to buy shares in Roghun in th future as well.”

In the meantime, Abdukarim Nematov, head of the branch of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) in Kulob, says that in all, physical and legal entities in Khatlon’s Kulob zone have bought Roghun shares for a total of some 32 million somoni by March 18.

We will recall that the Tajik government launched a campaign to sell Roghun shares on January 6, 2010.
