DUSHANBE, March 5, 2010, Asia-Plus — The first session of the Dushanbe council of people’s deputies of the fourth convocation will take place on March 15.

According to the Dushanbe mayor’s office press service, head of the city electoral commission will report on the results of elections to the city legislature at the session and the Dushanbe legislature members will also nominate candidates to the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament).

The Dushanbe council has 70 seats.
