KULOB, February 9, 2009, Asia-Plus — Iskandar Vahhobov, formerly chief of the Vose police department, has been appointed to head the Kulob police department, deputy chief of the Khatlon police directorate in charge of the Kulob region, Lieutenant-Colonel Abdurahmon Buzmakov, told Asia-Plus Monday afternoon.
According to him, Vahhobov replaced Colonel Kholmurod Khorkashev who had served as the Kulob police department chief over the past two years.
