Election commissions to serve the upcoming presidential election in Kyrgyzstan will predominantly consist of women, Damir Lisovsky, director of the Kyrgyz Central Election Commission told reporters Tuesday.

Election commissions reportedly count 20,689 members, whereof 10,731 – women, 9,959 – men. About 45 percent of the commission members have higher education, 30 percent – secondary special education, 25 percent – secondary education. Besides regional election commissions are membered by 23 political parties.

Lisovsky says there are 2,331 polling stations formed in Kyrgyzstan. “Originally we planed to form 2,333 stations, however changed our mind,” the director said.
