KULOB, June 30, 2009, Asia-Plus — The government is expected to give a 2 million somoni credit to a part of industrial enterprises in the city of Kulob in the near future, according to the Kulob mayor’s office.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Kulob Mayor Homid Abdulloyev said that they had applied to the government 10 million somoni, but because of the financial crisis they had agreed to give only 2 million somoni.
“Our task is to rationally distribute these funds among local enterprises and organizations that are capable to improve their production volumes,” the mayor said.
According to him, the funds will be distributed among Orien-Rustam (meat processing and packing factory), Kulob dairy factory, Kulob cannery and local firm, Khatlon. “The government credit has already arrived at the branch of Agroinvestbonk in Kulob,” Abdulloyev said.
