DUSHANBE, January 26, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Ukrainian Minister for Agrarian Policy Yuri Melnik heading a government delegation is arriving in Dushanbe today evening on a two-day working visit, according to the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) on a two-day working visit.

The delegation, comprising representatives of Ukraine’s agrarian sector, Academy of Sciences, and senior representatives of the tractor-producing plant, is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov and Minister of Agriculture Qosim Qsimov to discuss ways of expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in field of agriculture.

The source at a MoA noted that it could not be ruled out that the visit of the Ukrainian delegation that would conclude on January 28 would result in signing of a number of cooperation documents.
