DUSHANBE, January 31, 2011, Asia-Plus — The first meeting of the commission for preparations for the Navrouz holiday, presided over by Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev, took place in Dushanbe on January 29.
The meeting participants included senior representatives from the Dushanbe mayor’s office, president’s office, Deputy Prime Minister Ruqiya Qurbonova, Minister of Education Abdujabbor Rahmonov, Minister of Culture Mirzoshorukh Asrori, etc.
Students will be involved in theatrical shows dedicated to the Navrouz holiday and the mayor ordered relevant municipal services to provide them with hot meals and pay their transport expenses during preparations for the holiday, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office said.
According to him, the mayor stressed that rehearsals with participation of students should be carried out only outside regular hours.
Besides, in line with president’s order keys to four-room apartments were handed over to actors of the “Lahzahoi Guvoro” TV theatre-studio Kholmurod Siddiqov, Jamshed Halimov, Nouriddin Nasriddinov and Gulbibi Ablkhayeva and keys to a three-room apartment were handed over to Gulbahor Shokirova, artiste from the Daryo ensemble.
