DUSHANBE, April 18, Asia-Plus – In the first quarter of this year, construction organizations at the Ministry of Land Reclamation and Water Resources have assimilated 600,000 Somonis (equivalent to some US$118,000) for completing works on reinforcing banks of the Dushanbe River, Homidjon Hasanov, Minister of Land Reclamation and Water Resources, announced at a news conference in Dushanbe on April 18.
According to him, totaling 2.80 million Somonis have been provided for these purposes.
Besides, some 247,000 Somonis have been assimilated on completion of the river bank protection works on the

Hissor
Canal
.
Besides, the ministry’s construction organizations have reached 80 percent of target on the riverbank protection works on LR-18 canal in the Farkhor district, Khatlon province, according to the minister. More than 100,000 Somonis are supposed to be assimilated on the river bank protection works on this canal in Farkhor. The river bank protection works should be finished in late April.
The ministry also plans to have rehabilitated the Dashti-dili pump station in the Vose district by late April. The budget for rehabilitation of this pump station amounts to 100,000 Somonis, Homidjon Hasanov said.
