DUSHANBE, May 19, Asia-Plus — A one-year-old boy has allegedly been fatally assaulted by his inebriated father in Qurghon Teppa, the capital of Khatlon province.
Qurghon Teppa resident Ivan Yevzyutin, 35, has been arrested on suspicion of having killed his one-year-old son Damir, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
The source says Ivan Yevzyutin who was heavily drunk brutally beat Damir to death on May 18 at around 11:00.
Yevzyutin was detained the same day and criminal proceedings were instituted against him; investigation is under way.
