More than 101.000 graduates took part in this morning’s Last Bell ceremony in Tajikistan.

As reported by Tajik Education Ministry, 40% of the total number of graduates are girls.

The Last Bell ceremony was also conducted today for 9th class pupils of secondary schools. There are a total of 151.000 9th class pupils in Tajikistan, of which 45% are girls.

According to the source, final exams for 9th and 11th class pupils are due to begin within the nearest time.

The Last Bell ceremony, which symbolizes the end of school year, rang today for a total of 1.7mln pupils from almost 4000 schools of the country.

No special ceremonies for school leavers are planned. “All celebration ceremonies and parties on this occasion were banned for safety reasons,” the source has said.
