DUSHANBE, November 11, 2008, Asia-Plus  — A 20-year-old resident of Sughd’s Jabborrasulov district Inomjon Boborajabov has been arrested on suspicion of having raped local minor girl N.N.

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Mahmadullo Asadulloyev, a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), said that Boborajabov attacked 10th grade girl in the middle of nowhere at night and raped her.   

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Boborajabov under the provisions of Article 138 (raping) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code and an investigation is under way.
