DUSHANBE, February 1, Asia-Plus  — Construction of electricity transmission line from Tajikistan to Pakistan is supposed to top negotiations between energy ministers of the two countries, which are expected to be held in Islamabad in late February – early March  this year, according to information from the Tajik Ministry of Energy.  

As it had been reported earlier, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was singed between Tajikistan and Pakistan on exploring the feasibility of exporting electricity from Tajikistan to Pakistan during a visit of Pakistani Water and Power Minister Liaqat Ali Jatoi to Tajikistan in March last year.  Tajik Energy Minister Jurabek Nurmahmadov and Pakistani Water and Power Minister Liaqat Ali Jatoi signed a memorandum of understanding for the construction of a 700-kilometer power-transmission line linking
