DUSHANBE, June 16, Asia-Plus — The U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe is currently monitoring several reports of explosions that took part in Dushanbe Friday morning, a statement released by the Embassy says. 

The statement, in particular runs, the U.S. Embassy is currently monitoring several reports of explosions and remains in contact with the Tajik authorities to ascertain the causes and any potential impact for the American citizen community.

 We will recall that three explosions blasts occurred in Tajik capital on the night of June 15-16, after midnight.  Khudoinazar Asoyev, chief spokesman of the interior ministry, has told Asia-Plus that the preliminary investigation established that all three explosions were handiwork of a group of teenagers.  Tajik law enforcement authorities have disavowed a terrorist ling to the blasts and described them as hooliganism actions conducted by a group of teenagers.  

The first blast occurred around 00:30 a.m., at the crossroad of Bokhtar and Tehron Streets, near the Iranian Cultural Center.  The blast was sufficiently powerful that it blew out the windows of nearby buildings.  The second blast took place several minutes later on the Pushkin Street, outside the building of  the Charitable Foundation of Abdullo Nuri (the leader of Tajikistan’s Islamic Revival Party).  The blast blew out windows of the building.  The third blast took place near the being constructed Business Center “Kaynak” on the Bokhtar Street in the center of Dushanbe today morning, at about 8:20 a.m.  No injured was reported in those blasts.  The law enforcement agencies  have instituted investigation into what caused the explosions.
