DUSHANBE, August 1, Asia-Plus — Afghan Energy and Water Resources Alhaj Muhammad Ismail Khan is arriving in Dushanbe today evening for a two-day working visit. 

Tojinisso Azizova, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI), told Asia-Plus that the purpose of the visit is for Afghan minister to discuss with high-ranking Tajik state officials issues related to supply of Tajik electrical power to Afghanistan.  

Tomorrow, Ismail Khan is supposed to make trip to Gorno Badakhshan, where he will hold talks with senior representatives from local authorities as well as visit the Pamir-1 hydropower plant and some other hydropower facilities in the region, the spokeswoman said.  

On August 3, Ismail Khan is scheduled to meet with President Emomali Rahmon and senior representatives from a MoEI and Barqi Tojik power holding, according to Azizova.
