DUSHANBE, November 19, Asia-Plus  –Tajik delegation led by First Foreign Minster Deputy, Abdullo Yuldoshev, participated in the 1st Korea-Central Asia Forum that was held in Seoul, Korea last week, Tajik MFA said.   

According to MFA, Tajik delegation consisted of representatives from the ministries of economic development and trade, transport and communications, academy of sciences, et.  

In the meantime, Korea.net reported that along with Korean Vice Foreign Minister Cho Jung-pyo, the deputy foreign ministers of the five Central Asian nations attended the forum as heads of their respective delegations:  About 150 people from governments of Korea and 5 Central Asian countries, major business firms and civil sectors attended the forum, which was held to discuss a broad range of issues related to sharing Korea’s experiences to support the economic development of the Central Asian nations, the current situations and future of areas for cooperation such as information technology and construction, and bilateral cooperation in areas of pop culture, education and tourism.

The forum participants agreed to establish channels for a regular dialogue between Korea and the Central Asian nations to promote people-to-people exchanges and to step up networking among the countries.

            Korean Vice Minister Cho Jung-pyo also held bilateral policy consultations with Central Asian deputy foreign ministers.
