QURGHON TEPPA, March 26, Asia-Plus — Iranian national Sholgiom (phonetically spelled) Haji Ali Akbar has been detained in Qurghon Teppa, Khatlon province by local police on suspicion of spreading porno materials, Asia-plus has learned from Shavkat Majidov, an officer with the criminal investigation squad at the Qurghon Teppa police directorate.
According to him, criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detainee, who faces charges under two articles of Tajikistan’s Criminal Code: illegal production and spread of porno materials (Article 241) and bigamy or polygamy (Article 170).
“Staying in hotels of Qurghon Teppa, the detained Iranian citizen was taking pictures of naked women by his mobile phone,” Majidov said.
