DUSHANBE, June 11, Asia-Plus  — A 23-year-old resident of Dushanbe, Saburmahmad Odinayev, was detained by officers from the Interior Ministry directorate for combating drug trafficking (drug police) on June 10 on suspicion of having involved in drug trafficking, according to press service of the Ministry of Interior (MoI).

A package containing 4.5 kilograms of raw opium was confiscated from the drug pusher.  

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Odinayev and an investigation is under way.
