DUSHANBE, September 3, 2008, Asia-Plus — A 39-year-old resident of Khatlon’s Vose district Murodali Toshakov was detained by officers from police department of Dushanbe’s Shohmansour district today morning on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing.
According to Mahmadullo Asadulloyev, a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), some 3 kilograms of raw opium were confiscated from Toshakov.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against him and an investigation is under way.
