Sergi Koshgi Exhibition Center in Ashgabat has hosted the International Exhibition and Scientific Conference “Achievements of healthcare of Turkmenistan”. As the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from the Turkmen capital, the Sixth International Congress of Cardiologists of Turkic-speaking countries took place in the framework of the forum.
About 500 guests arrived to attend the exhibition and conference in Ashgabat. The exposition in Sergi Koshgi consisted of the stands of 80 medical, pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies from 25 countries.
In his address to the forum participants, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that “this meeting will help determine further areas of international cooperation and provide a good opportunity for the scientists and specialists to share experience”.
“The Turkmen state’s important tasks are the protection of health of people as the biggest value of the country, creation of conditions for healthy lifestyle, concern for peaceful, healthy and happy life of future generations”, the message of the head of state says.
The meetings of the sections attended by the leading specialists in cardiology and internal diseases, general surgery and oncology, ophthalmology, dentistry, maternal and child health from 11 counties of Europe, CIS, USA and Turkey were held at the specialized clinics, conference-halls of the Turkmen State Medical Institute and the President Hotel.
In the framework of the forum, the leading Russian and Swiss cardiologists and oncologists conducted lectures and master classes. The demonstrational ophthalmologic surgery was held in the Scientific-Clinical Center of Eye Diseases in Ashgabat.
