DUSHANBE, November 25, 2008, Asia-Plus — Dr. Nouriddin Qayumov, director of the Institute for Economic Studies within the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MoEDT), will represent Tajikistan at a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Club that will be held in Yekaterinburg, Russia on November 28.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Dr. Qayumov said that The Eurasian Economic Club meets to discuss to discuss issues related to impact the global financial crisis on the real sector of economy. According to him, some theoretical propositions of the economic science are now being reviewed with regard for the financial crisis.
“I think that under conditions of globalization when information is handed over to the different points of world in a few minutes and thereby helping respond to changes of economic system faster, some points of the theory of development of the world economy will be reviewed,” Qayumov noted.
We will recall that the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists was initiated by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in April this year.
The purpose of the Eurasian economic club of scientists is to unite the efforts of the economic scientists and experts, as well as the public representatives in solving economic development issues, assisting and contributing to economic and social progress of the international community, creating conditions for mutual exchange of ideas, experiences, knowledge in organization and management on macro and micro levels.
The first constituent assembly of the Club took place in Astana, Kazakhstan on June 26.
