DUSHANBE, February 18, 2009, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon is currently holding talks with visiting head of Iran’s television and radio network, Mr. Ezatollah Zarghami, according to presidential press service.

We will recall that Chairman of Iran’s state television and radio network Mr. Ezatollah Zarghami, heading Iranian delegation, arrived in Dushanbe Tuesday evening on a working four-day visit.

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the first deputy head of Tajikistan’s Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting, Abdurahmon Abdumannonov, said that the purpose of the visit was for senior representatives of the Iranian state television and radio network to discus with Tajik officials ways to establish fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the field of TV and radio-broadcasting.

During his stay in Dushanbe, Mr. Ezatollah Zarghami is also scheduled to hold talks with Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev, State Adviser to the Tajik President for Social Development Saidmurod Fattoyev and Chairman of the Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting Asadullo Rahmonov.

The Iranian delegation is also expected to visit Tajik national TV channels Safina, Jajonnamo and Bahoriston  

According to the Iranian embassy in Dushanbe, the visit of the delegation of Iran’s state TV and radio network to Tajikistan will last till Saturday.
