The World Bank will grant Kyrgyzstan $10 million under the Manas Taalimi national program aimed at health care system reforming to run through 2010, Asel Sargaldakova an international expert said at the extended consulting meeting on Kyrgyz National Nutrition Plan elaboration in Bishkek Tuesday.

The grant will be primarily directed to maternity and childhood protection. “At the time being we select pilot regions to channel the donor funds,” the expert said.

The grant will also contribute to the Millennium Challenges program, particularly to maternal and child mortality reduction.
