The countries of the Customs Union – Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will, probably, join the World Trade Organization (WTO) simultaneously, but not as a union. The Assistant to the President of Russia, Arcady Dvorkovich, reported citing RIA RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

According to RBC, consultations of experts have shown that introduction of the Customs Union countries to WTO is a difficult long-term procedure.

“Another scenario is parallel introduction of three sovereign member states of the Customs Union,” A. Dvorkovich said. He underlined that introduction of the countries can be simultaneous.

“At present, consultations of the experts proceed. “The final decision on the scheme of introduction has not been made, but there are certain advantages of a parallel introduction. We do not want any delay in this process,” he noted.
