KHUJAND, October 15, 2009, Asia-Plus — A Day of Gorno Badakhshan Culture was held at the Faculty of Art of Khujand State University, Sughd province yesterday.
Two video films “Charkh” and “Dilro ba Dil Rahest” telling traditions of the peoples of Gorno Badakhshan were demonstrated and exhibitions of traditional clothes and jewelries of the peoples of Gorno Badakhshan were organized on sidelines of the event.
The musical part of the event included performance of such known compositions as Dafzani, Lalaik, Falak, and Maddoh. At the conclusion of the event, theatrical show “Festival of Brides” and suite “Aspak” were performed.
