Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan made up US$21.209 billion in 2009, or increased by 0.1% year-on-year. Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover with the CIS states comprised US$8.006 billion and other states – US$13.203 billion.

At the same time, exports of Uzbekistan made up US$11.771 billion and imports reached US$9.438 billion, the Uzbek State Statistics Committee said.

The exports volume rose by 2.4% and current trade surplus made up US$2.333 billion.

Percentage of import coverage by export comprised 124.7% compared to 118.4% in the reporting period of 2008.
