DUSHANBE, March 5, 2010, Asia-Plus — Tajik farmers have successfully completed the potato-sowing campaign, overfulfilling the target by 37 percent, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.
This year, farmers have planted potatoes on 1,553 hectares, which is 453 hectares more than it was originally planed, the source said.
Besides, local farmers have planted vegetables on more than 7,500 hectares this year, which is 600 hectares, or 8 percent, more than it was planned.
