DUSHANBE, March 10, 2010, Asia-Plus — A Kazakh business delegation, numbering 40 people and led by Yerlan Kozhasbay, president of Kazakhstan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is expected to arrive in Dushanbe on March 15 for a three-day visit.
Nurzhenis Aytbayev, Third Secretary. Kazakh Embassy in Dushanbe, told Asia-Plus Tuesday afternoon that the purpose of the visit is for the delegation to discuss ways for expansion of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
“Kazakhstan intends to invest considerable funds in Tajikistan’s economy. The exact volume of investments will be determined after Kazakh delegation’s discussions with top managers of a number of Tajik ministries and organizations,” Aytbayev said.
During their stay in Tajikistan, Kazakh entrepreneurs are scheduled to hold talks with Minister of Economic Development and Trade Farrukh Hamraliyev and Chairman of the State Committee for Investments and State-owned Property Management Davlatali Saidov.
According to Aytbayev, Kazakh entrepreneurs will also take part in an international industrial and trade exhibition that will take place in the Tajik capital from March 16-18.
We will recall that the exhibition is organized with official support from the Tajik government and ministries of energy and economy as well as diplomatic missions of Kazakhstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan in Dushanbe and Expo Central Asia. A number of companies from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan will participate in the exhibition. They will put on display their achievements in agriculture, food and light industries, etc.
