KULOB, March 10, 2010, Asia-Plus — Kulob College of Arts named after Karomatullo Qurbonov has received a license from the Ministry of Education (MoE) for opening theatrical department, Asia-Plus has learned from Khairullo Tohirov, head of the Kulob culture department.
According to him, the department will train personnel for local theatres (the Theatre of Music Comedy in Kulob and two folk theatres in Farkhor and Muminobod districts) and admission of students will begin in May this year.
“In January, the college received the license for opening two-year correspondence courses for librarians,” Tohirov said, adding that 210 libraries now function in Khatlon’s Kulob zone.
