DUSHANBE, March 10, 2010, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon introduced a number of staff changes today.

By president’s decree Mahmadamin Mahmadaminov, formerly Chairman of Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank), was appointed Minister of Labor and Social Protection, replacing Shukurjon Zuhurov.  Shukurjon Zuhurov was elected to the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament).

Ms. Suman Taghoyeva, who had previously been Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection, was appointed to head the Committee for Family and Women’s Affairs under the Government of Tajikistan.  She replaced Ms. Kharinisso Yusufi, who was elected to the Majlisi Namoyandagon.

Besides, Nosirjon Salimov, formerly Chancellor of the Khujand State University, was appointed Chancellor of Tajik State Institute of Languages, replacing Ms. Marhabo Jabborova, who was elected to the Majlisi Namoyandagon.
