KHOROG, March 30, Asia-Plus — By government’s decree of March 29 Mr. Isror Isrorov, formerly deputy head of the GBAO department for economic development and antimonopoly policy, and Ms. Arambegin Matobshoyeva, who had previously been chairperson of the GBAO committee for family and women’s affairs, were appointed deputy governors of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (Gorno Badakhshan or GBAO).
The Head of the GBAO organizing department, Habib Vatanshoyev, said they replaced Mr. Shamsiddin Orumbekov, who had been appointed chairman of the organization of the People’s Democratic Party (PDPT) in Gorno Badakhshan, and Ms. Bibidavlat Afzalshoyeva, who had come to the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) from PDPT’s party list.
