DUSHANBE, April 2, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Six persons were killed Thursday as an auto and a heavy truck collided in Sughd province.

According to the Tajik traffic police directorate, the accident took place in the Ghonchi district at 8:00 pm.

The 27-year-old Idiyor Berdiyorov could not control his Opel-Vectra and clashed it into the heavy truck KAMAZ, driven by the 37-year-old Muhibullo Doustov,” said the source, “As a result of the collision, Berdiyorov and his five passengers died on the spot.”

Another fatal traffic accident was reported yesterday in the Darvoz district, Gorno Badakhshan.  Minivan, driven by Amriddin Odinayev, fell into precipice; as a result, one of passengers, Uston Sadonshoyv, died, the source said.  The cause of the accident is under investigation.
