KHUJAND. May 31. “Asia-Plus” — The Khujand youth center “Markazi Mavlon” is hosting an action on the collection of toys and clothes for children from families affected by natural disaster in Khatlon region and Ganjin region.

“Let’s give joy to the children” action was organized by the officers from international and public organizations operating in Sughd area, Project Assistant of UNDP Office in Khujand Salomat Kurbanova told the AP.

“Not only officers of these organizations but also local people bring toys for the disaster affected children. The action is also held at the biggest Sughd mosque,” Kurbanova has said.

According to her, the event consists of the two components. “Local TV channels are broadcasting a special social reel about children’s rights. The third phase includes dissemination of booklets with extracts from the International Convention on the Rights of the Child,” she added.
