Dushanbe. June 15. “Asia-Plus” — Tajik Foreign Ministry expresses concern over deterioration of the public and political situation in southern part of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and urges the confronting sides and responsible persons to undertake maximum efforts to stop the confrontation and, thus, create conditions for peaceful resolution of the current situation, Tajik Foreign Ministry said in a statement which was distributed today, June 15.
Tajik Foreign Ministry expresses its confidence that temporary government of Kyrgyzstan is able to suppress groundless and slanderous statements of some members of the government and other officials.
“Therefore, Tajik Foreign Ministry strongly disproves yesterday’s statement of deputy chairman of the Kyrgyz National Security Service Kubat Baibolov on involvement of a group of persons from Tajikistan in mass disorders in south of Kyrgyzstan and stresses that “black forces”, first of all terrorist, have neither homeland nor nationality,” the statement says.
It also says that terrorists are trained outside Central Asia, including in camps of Al-Qaeda and it’s not a secret that there are citizens of Central Asia among them who are being sent to states of the region for undermining activity.
“This fact can be proved by recent termination of two terrorists in Maihura place on the Dushanbe-Khujand road. The two criminals were former residents of Isfara city of Sughd district of Tajikistan who resisted Tajik law enforcement agencies,” the statement says.
“In relations with Kyrgyzstan Tajikistan always sticks to the principles of good-neighborly relations and hopes that current situation which occurred in southern part of friendly, brotherly state and strategic partner of our country in the region will be settled within the nearest time,” it said.
