Dushanbe. June 25. “Asia-Plus” — Uzbekistan has released cargoes designed for the construction of Sangtuda-2 hydropower plant, Iranian Sangob, which is involved in the construction of this hydropower facility, told the AP.
Shukrihudo Noibov, a spokesperson for the Iranian Sangob, told the AP that the company has received 17 freight wagons with cargoes designed for the construction of Sangtuda-2 HPP. “Therefore, we have called for our experts who were on their leave. Due to the blockage of cargoes that are vital for the construction of this facility, we had to ask part of our constructors to take vacation for indefinite period,” he said.
Noibov noted that 12 freight wagons with cargoes designed for construction of Sangtuda-2 still remain on the territory of Uzbekistan. “These cargoes include equipment which is crucial for the construction of the given facility. Sangob officials are holding talks with Uzbek rail officials on the remaining cargoes,” he added.
