DUSHANBE, July 3, 2010, Asia-Plus — Art of Tajik young pianist, Parastou Saodatova, has won Italy.
She participated in the 12th International Music Competition, EUTERPE, which took place in Corato, Italy from May 27 to June 6, 2010, Khurshed Nizomov, an official with the Ministry of Culture (MoC), said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, the competition was conducted in five sections: 1) soloist; 2) piano (4 hands); 3) chamber music; 4) choral groups, orchestral groups and similar; and 5) international piano competition, Premio Euterpe.
“Parastou Saodatova won in the soloist nomination,” said Nizomov, “It is not the first success of this young talented pianist; she also participated in the 3rd D.B. Kabalevsky International Competition in Moscow and took the third place.”
The aim of the EUTERPE Competition is in promoting “Musical Culture”, nearing young students to the study of music, and discovering young talents.
Parastou Saodatova is now the fifth-year student at Russia’s State Music-Pedagogical Institute named after M.M. Ippolitov-Ivanov in Moscow.
