DUSHANBE, July 6, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Dushanbe will host sessions of the Board of Electric Communication Operators and the Commission for Electric Communication of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communication (RCC) on July 7.

Mr. Qimmatsho Mirzoshirinov, the head of the information department within the Main Communications Directorate of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Tajikistan told Asia-Plus today that the sessions are expected to discuss issues related to expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of scientific and technological policy.

Tariffs for communication services, mutual settlement of accounts, training of personnel, interaction with international organizations, and mutual exchange of information are also among major topics of the sessions, Mr. Mirzoshirinov said, noting that delegations of the RCC full members and observers are expected to attend the sessions.

Founded on December 17, 1991, the RCC now has 12 full members, including Communications Administrations (CAs) of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine and six observers, including CAs of Bulgaria, Slovenia, IOSC Intersputnik, and postal corporation Itella Group (Finland).
