DUSHANBE, May 24, 2011, Asia-Plus  — Public transport fairs will rise in Dushanbe beginning on June 1.

The Dushanbe mayor’s office discussed this issue yesterday.

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman of the Dushanbe mayor’s office, says this measure, coordinated with the antimonopoly agency, has resulted from rising prices for fuel and spare parts.

The meeting also discussed issues related to satiating Dushanbe’s market with basic food products.  Speaking a the meeting, Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev recommended relevant municipal services to control provision of the city’s bazaars with high quality meat and inspect meat prices, Saidov said.

We will recall that merchants running butcher’s shops at local bazaars have been recommended to sell beef at no more than 23.00 somoni per one kilogram and lamb at no more than 24.00 somoni per one kilogram.
