DUSHANBE, July 5, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Visiting representative of Russia’s Sviaz-Bank, Andrey Grigorovich, yesterday met here with Safiallo Devonayev, Head of the Migration Service under the Government of Tajikistan.

The sides reportedly discussed issues related to establishment of cooperation between the Russian commercial interregional bank and the Tajik migration service agency.

The Migration Service press center reports that in the course of the talks, Grigorovich noted that Sviaz-Bank would prepare a common money transfer map in the near future that could be used by Tajik labor migrants.

Grigorovich also said that Sviaz-Bank is currently considering opportunities to open its representative office in Tajikistan, the source said, noting that the sides  also discussed the possibility of participation of the Russian bank in reconstruction of the training Center for Migrants in Tajikistan.

Founded in 1991, Sviaz-Bank, with headquarters in Moscow, has 51 branches and 133 backup offices and mini-branches; 99 of them operating from post offices.  It is an all-purpose lending and financial institution maintaining its presence in 52 of 83 federal subjects of the Russian Federation.  Sviaz-Bank’s key business areas are providing banking services to corporate entities and individuals, managing debt financing, and conducting international business such as trading in international financial markets, commercial and structural funding, and borrowing from international lenders.
