DUSHANBE, September 6, 2012, Asia-Plus  — A spontaneous rally has begun near Dushanbe’s merchandise market, Korvon, today following yesterday’s fire at the market.

Several thousand people have gathered near the market administration demanding meeting with the market administrators.

“Police officers are trying to calm an enraged crowd that is ready to sweep the gate of the administration building.  There are no the market administrators and senior police officers here that could clarify the situation,” the Asia-Plus’s correspondent reports.

According to her, people gave way to despair because  many of them incurred many thousands of dollars in losses.

Several hundred people reportedly went along the Nemat Qaraboyev and Saadi Sherozi streets.  They were going to the center of the city when they were stooped near Tojiktekstil (Dushanbe-based textile plant) and Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev came out to meet with the demonstrators.
