DUSHANBE, September 17, 2012, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon is expected to start his two-day working visit to Gorno Badakhshan tomorrow, September 18.

During his trip to Gorno Badakhshan, President Rahmon will visit the districts of Rushan and Shugnan as well as the city of Khorog, the capital of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), GBAO Governor Qodir Qosim told Asia-Plus in an interview.

In the Rushan district, Emomali Rahmon will inaugurate the regional boarding school for children with disabilities.  This boarding school will accommodate 150 pupils.  While in Rushan, Rahmon will also inaugurate a modern school that will accommodate 640 pupils.

In the Shugnan district, the president will attend ceremonies of official opening of offices of Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank) and Tajprombank (Tajik industrial bank for reconstruction and development) in the new administrative center of the district.

In Khorog, President Rahmon will inaugurate a new clothing factory that has created 150 new jobs and will hold meeting with representatives of the Khorog public, GBAO governor said.

While in Khorog, the president will also give a kick-start to rehabilitation of the Khorog water supply system.
