DUSHANBE, February 27, 2013, Asia-Plus — On Friday February 22, Tajik Ambassador to Germany Imomuddin Sattorov held talks in Berlin with senior representatives from German Water and Energy (GWE) and ANDRTITZ HYDRO, the Tajik MFA information department reports.
Sattorov’s meeting with Mr. Bernhard Reichelt, Director of German Water and Energy, reportedly focused on the possibility of participation of German companies in implementation of projects aimed at enhancing energy and transportation sectors in Tajikistan.
GWE representative showed interest in implementation of specific projects in sectors like hydropower, construction of residential and industrial facilities, as well as use of modern technologies for generation of ecologically pure energy and rational use of water-and-energy resources of Tajikistan, the source said.
Sattorov and Reinhardt Muller-Tehnau, senior representative of ANDRITZ HYDRO, reportedly considered issued related to prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and that company in the field of hydropower. The sides outlined construction, rehabilitation and modernization of hydroelectric power plants as well as development of schemes for joint financing of hydroelectricity projects as areas of cooperation between Tajikistan and ANDRTIZ HYDRO.
