DUSHANBE, April 12, 2013, Asia-Plus — Officials and experts from 57 OSCE participating States and key stakeholders will meet in Kyiv, Ukraine from April 16-17 to discuss ways to improve the environmental footprint of energy-related activities in the OSCE area, press release issued by the OSCE said.

The meeting is part of the 21st OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum.  It will be opened by OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara and Halil Yurdakul Yigitguden, the Coordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities.

Keynote speakers at the event will be Michael C. Camunez, US Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Market Access and Compliance and Vadim Lukov, Ambassador-at-Large from the Russian Federation responsible for G8 and G20 issues.

During the event, national and international officials and experts, representatives of non-governmental organization, the business community and academia will discuss possible ways to increase stability and security in the OSCE area through sustainable energy solutions.
