DUSHANBE, July 30, 2013, Asia-Plus — The Dushanbe mayor’s office reportedly gives preference to specialists graduating from Tajik universities before 1992 while selecting personnel.

An official source at the Dushanbe mayor’s office says the Dushanbe administration has announced competition for a number of job vacancies.

“The competition was announced for the positions of aide to mayor, heads of departments for social development and public relations, transport and road maintenance, as well as public department and leading specialists for a number of departments,” said the source.  “The mayor’s office also seeks candidates to head the departments on investment and state-owned property management, religious affairs, family and women’s affairs, and labor and social protection.”

The source stressed that preference will be given to candidates who graduated from universities abroad or graduated from Tajik universities before 1992.
